Skate 2 is a skateboarding video game developed by EA Black Box and distributed by Electronic Arts as a sequel to the 2007 game, Skate. Skate 2 was released in January 2009 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.


Controls

Gameplay in Skate 2 is dissimilar from the Tony Hawk franchise as you use the analog sticks to perform tricks which is more realistic than tapping a button wildly. Tricks have also been doubled, tricks consists of ollies, nollies, kickflips, foot plants, inverts, hippy jumps, and more.

The new thing in Skate 2 is that you can now get off your board and move objects around.

Story

The events of Skate 2 happens five years after the events of the orginal Skate. You just got out of prison and you just found out that the city majorly changed in the last five years. Turns out that there was this massive earthquake that occured. Because of this, MongoCorp, the police of San Van, took action. They mostly guard the remaining landmarks of the city.

Setting

Skate 2 is set in San Vanelona but with differences. See San Vanelona in Skate 2.
